PIPELINE LAW

FREE CHOICE REGULATIONS

The Pipeline Law took effect on September 3, 2018, and applies to telecommunications projects for which building permits were submitted on or after this date.

This law establishes that all buildings, condominiums, subdivisions, and commercial premises must have at least 2 operators' wired networks, the purpose of this is to give co-owners access to Open Digital TV and Freely Chosen digital providers and telecommunications services without any restrictions or exclusive contracts.

The purpose is to regulate the technical standards that projects must comply with in their design and construction of installations, both in subdivisions and buildings, through its technical regulation 766.

Once installed and certiﬁed, are delivered to the management and/or co-owner of the project.
